Civilisation? 7 year prison sentence for a Poem
IT’S TIME poem by Zhu Yufu translation by A.E. Clark, source: Los Angeles Times
#############################################
It’s time, people of China! It’s time.
The Square belongs to everyone.
With your own two feet
It’s time to head to the Square and make your choice.
It’s time, people of China! It’s time.
A song belongs to everyone.
From your own throat
It’s time to voice the song in your heart.
It’s time, people of China! It’s time.
China belongs to everyone.
Of your own will
It’s time to choose what China shall be.

In the verdict that sentenced Zhu Yufu to 7 years in prison last Friday
for “inciting subversion of state power” this poem was mentioned.
This is a paradox, since it is obvious that for the future of China jobs will be generated mainly by online interconnected communities of technicians, poets, artist, craftsmen and designers that openly CREATE together , develop and improve new products and services. In other words, like the very active communities of Shanzhai http://delicious.com/stacks/view/Fk3Mtl . If the Chinese government puts the creative class people in jail they jeopardize the future wealth creation in their country.
